Custom cabinets have a huge advantage over buying mass-produced stock cabinets online or at a big box store. First, they’re built specifically for you – to fit your space, your needs, your style. At Concord Cabinets & Countertops, with our guidance you choose every single detail and you don’t have to settle for anything other than what you’re going to love. Plus, our custom cabinets are built to last by master craftsmen who take great pride in their work.
This depends on the scope of the project and our current workload, of course. But typically, our turnaround time is eight to 10 weeks.
While we don’t offer an official warranty, we 100 percent stand behind our products. Customer service is our top priority, so we’ll do what it takes to make you happy with the finished product and how it looks in your home.
The cost will vary depending on the size of the project and the options you choose, including type of wood or countertop surface, design, hardware, and other customizations. You’ll know the cost upfront, so there are no surprises as the project proceeds.
We certainly can use those ideas as a starting point. It’s always helpful if we understand your style and vision. During our initial conversation, we’ll ask about your design preferences – modern, traditional, farmhouse, etc. – and talk about your needs in terms of workflow and function. No, we’ll come to your home or building site and take preliminary measurements of your space and appliances for an estimate. Prior to construction, we’ll make multiple visits to ensure our measurements are accurate and your cabinets and countertops are the perfect fit.
Our computer design software will provide floor plans and 3D renderings so you can see what your cabinets and countertops will look like in your space. It really comes down to personal preference. We work with oak, hickory, hard maple, cherry, alder, and quarter-sawn oak. If you’re going for a rustic feel, hickory might be your best bet. If you want a more modern look, cherry is a good choice. Going traditional? Oak is a classic, and quarter-sawn oak has become one of our favorite woods! We’ll work with you to determine the best type of wood for your particular project, space, and style.
Painted cabinets are a popular trend these days, especially white, and we certainly offer that option. We’ve had great results and positive reviews from homeowners who went this route. Some things to keep in mind – you’ll want to avoid coarse-grained wood like oak because the grain texture will be partially visible under the paint. Also, paint will add more to the project cost than a stain.
Again, this is a personal preference. One thing we like to tell customers, though, is that knobs can catch on clothing and are harder to grab than a handle. That doesn’t mean a knob isn’t a good choice, though. It depends on the style of cabinet and your kitchen or bathroom. We can show you a variety of knobs and pulls with different finishes – and you can choose what suits your needs best.
Both stone surfaces are durable and beautiful – and cost about the same. While quartz used to be superior to granite in durability and maintenance, that’s just not true anymore. There’s no huge advantage of quartz over granite, so it comes down to looks and your personal preference. Granite has a more natural appearance, while quartz offers a more consistent look. But both are excellent, premium materials.
We use dovetail drawers with a soft close feature instead of the standard drawer construction. Dovetail drawers use a locking joint consisting of a series of cuts that interlock and form a flat edge at the corners and sides, which is more durable and provides more space than standard drawers. The soft close feature eliminates slamming sounds, keeps contents in place, and protects your fingers from being pinched (and your kids’ fingers, too).
We have an experienced crew. From our craftsmen to our installers, our employees have an average experience of 15 years. You can feel confident that our work will be of the highest quality and we’ll get the job done right.
Of course! No matter what room in your home, if you need cabinets, shelves, hutches, a bar, or other fixtures, we can do it. Kitchens and bathrooms are our specialty, but we can create something custom for your laundry and utility rooms, family rooms, mud rooms, game rooms, garages, and more. We’ve also created custom items such as golf bag holders and deer displays.
