    We’ll deliver your cabinets and countertops anywhere – and if you want us to install them, we will. Our two installers have more than 50 years of combined experience and they’ll do the job right the first time – so you can sit back and enjoy your new space.

    History of Concord Cabinets & Countertops

    What started as a hobby for Gene Daggett turned into a thriving business in Clayton, IL, that he has since passed on to the second generation, his son, Greg.

    Gene was a high school math teacher who started the business in 1985 with its first employee – who is still with us today! When Gene retired from teaching in 1992, he focused on the custom cabinet company full time.

    Greg, who was an actuary in downtown Chicago, moved back to Clayton in 1998 to work for the family business. He started out building cabinets and eventually began handling the bidding work, then took over management in 2000.
    In 2017, Greg became the owner and can’t imagine doing anything else.

    Concord Cabinets & Countertops started as a one-room shop and now is a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing space, with the first shop expansion in 1988 and three more additions in 1992, 2000, and 2009 to handle the company’s growth. A showroom was added in 1992.

    We’ve invested in new equipment through the years to ensure the safety of our employees and quality production for our customers.

    “You start with raw wood and you see a finished product. It’s much more rewarding than actuary work,” Greg says.
